The agri-food industries generate significant quantities of by-products, often considered waste, which actually contain large quantities and varieties of compounds which, if appropriately extracted/purified and processed, can be exploited in different industrial sectors. In the perspective of a circular bioeconomy based on "Zero Waste" processes. the development of innovative processes and technologies to enhance the fractions of agro-industrial by-products represents a development path for a territory rich in "raw materials" and manpower. The objective of the project is to integrate the skills of research institutions and companies with the needs of leading companies in the agroindustrial sector and similar industrial sectors with a core business in the field of agromedicine, nutraceuticals and textiles. Finally, the economic and environmental sustainability of the identified supply chain will be assessed.
