Next Technology Tecnotessile hosts the Learning Expedition of the TEX-BREIN project

On May 6 and 7, 2025, Next Technology Tecnotessile will be pleased to host the Learning Expedition of the TEX-BREIN project, an exclusive event dedicated to innovation and sustainability in the textile sector.
During these two days, participants will be able to learn more about the best practices of the Prato textile district, internationally recognized for its innovative approach to sustainability and the circular economy. Thanks to a highly specialized production ecosystem, the Prato district demonstrates how the recovery, reuse and regeneration of textile fibers can generate economic and environmental value.
Here, tradition and innovation are integrated into low-impact production processes, based on the reuse of raw materials and the reduction of waste, reducing dependence on virgin resources and promoting a truly circular model.
The Learning Expedition will offer participants a concrete overview of the most advanced technologies and solutions for sustainability in the textile sector, encouraging the exchange of knowledge and the creation of new synergies. The program includes visits and meetings dedicated to wool recycling and circular economy strategies applied to the sector, with a focus on the most innovative technologies for the selection, recovery and valorization of materials.
In detail, the Learning Expedition includes visits to the following companies:
Filati Omega – a historic company in the district specializing in the production of high-quality regenerated yarns
GoriTex – a company specializing in the recovery of regenerated textile fibers, promoting a sustainable and circular production model
Dell’Orco & Villani – a leading company in the design and construction of machines for recycling textile waste, offering them a second life through the creation of increasingly competitive solutions
There will also be moments with important players in the sector:
the Municipality of Prato with the Prato Circular City project, aimed at strengthening the transition of the city and the district towards the circular economy
ALIA Servizi Ambientali for a presentation of the innovative Textile Hub, an automatic selection system for post- and pre-consumer textile waste to ensure its subsequent reuse and recycling
Confindustria Toscana Nord for a discussion and exchange session with the companies in the district.
